Shelter Island Historical Society

The success of the Shelter Island Historical Society (SIHS) is attributed to the ongoing support of our donors. Because of your generosity, the Society offers free admission to the Havens House, and the number of visitors is increasing every year. SIHS is able to provide first rate programming enjoyed by residents and visitors of all ages. The SIHS Development Office provides donor outreach and assists and recognizes our supporters for their charitable contributions. Core to our mission is to listen to our donors and to exceed their expectations.

We invite you to take part in helping children and adults develop an appreciation for Shelter Island’s history and continuing story. With your help SIHS will be able to continue to Preserve Yesterday…Today... for Tomorrow. The Shelter Island Historical Society is a not-for-profit corporation under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Gifts to the Society are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
